Tel Aviv, Israel

QA and Automation Engineer

We create life saving technology. We need you to make sure people trust it to use it.

If you want to be part of a dynamic and award-winning start-up and help shape the future of mobility - join Valerann!

Everytime you drive on a road there is someone who is responsible for your safety. There are organizations that work tirelessly to make sure that traffic is flowing, risks are reduced, and emissions are minimized. These organizations are called road operators and Valerann is creating technology to make these vital organizations even better: better at saving lives, better and reducing congestion, and better at preventing unnecessary pollution.

We are designing a next generation traffic management system, which leverages unique data, supports life-saving processes, and enables control centres to make better decisions faster. Our system saves lives, so it has to be reliable, available and operational at all times.  We need you to help us make sure our system the best it can be. So that the people operating our roads  trust us to make life and death decisions.

Our Tel-Aviv based team is looking for a QA and Automation engineer. Your primary focus will be developing automation tools and tests for profiling and testing Valerann software and hardware systems: in-road sensors, road side-units, Valerann cloud services, algorithms and manufacturing equipment.

A proven experience that we are looking for:

  • University graduate in EE/Computer Science
  • At least 5 years of experience in the field of QA
  • At least 5 years of software or automation development
  • Hands-on in designing and building automatic tests setups for embedded systems, IoT systems, distributed systems and cloud based applications
  • Hands-on QA of multidisciplinary (Software and Hardware) systems
  • Creation of test plans and test specifications
  • Broad system view
  • Communication (wired and wireless) protocols
  • Python and Linux shell scripting

You should be

  • A person who likes to work in a start-up environment: working in a small team, taking initiatives, making decisions in uncertainty
  • Someone who enjoys understanding complex systems
  • Curious in embedded/IoT/maker projects and new IoT technologies
  • Willing to share your experience and knowledge and learn from others
  • Diligent and committed
