Senior Data Scientist / Machine Learning Researcher

Job Description

You should have curiosity, passion, creativity and experience in how to make use of data including build models, using statistics and machine learning, intuition and superb communication skills.

The ideal candidate should be able to use his/her experience in implementing advanced analytical methods (machine learning, statistical/mathematical modelling) on large amounts of raw data – dealing with all parts of modelling workflow (from data extraction, feature engineering to model building and implementation) and should be able to clearly present and communicate the findings.


Responsibility

  • Model, design and implement data analysis models and machine learning tools, as well as other data science activities
  • Perform data analysis to evaluate algorithms performance and take care of ongoing optimization improvements
  • Independent research and innovation in new content and technological domains, while supporting existing projects
  • Write production quality code while implementing your own ideas, as part of our company’s product offering


Requirements

  • Master/PhD degree in a quantitative field like Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields from a leading university
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business requirements into a technical solution
  • Extensive knowledge and experience (3+ years) in data analysis, predictive and probabilistic models and Machine Learning models (e.g., regression, classification, neural networks, clustering)
  • Highly proficient in Python
  • Experience with open source Machine Learning toolkits: tensorflow, keras, theano, scikit-learn, pandas, numpy.
  • Experience with NoSQL and BigData - Hadoop/Hive/HBASE, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc
  • Experience with distributed architecture, micro services, message queues, REST API –  Advantage
  • Knowledge in container technology (docker) and cloud services (IaaS, PaaS) – Advantage
  • Team player with a strong can-do attitude and great communication skills
  • Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
  • Agile, versatile, with the ability to solve complex problems
  • Diligent and committed
